Chondroguard

Composition: Sodium chondroitin sulfate

Form: Solution for intramuscular and intra-articular injection

Indications: Osteoarthritis of peripheral joints and spine, intervertebral osteochondrosis, spondyloarthrosis, accelerated formation of bone callus after fractures.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity, bleeding tendency, thrombophlebitis, acute infections/inflammation at the injection site, skin diseases at injection site, pregnancy, lactation, age under 18.

Dosage: IM: 100 mg every other day, from the 4th injection can be increased to 200 mg. Course — 25–30 injections. Intra-articular: 200 mg every 3 days (up to 5 injections) + IM course. Repeat course possible after 6 months.

Side effects: Local reactions (redness, itching), allergy, rarely — bleeding at the injection site.

Interactions: Enhances the effect of anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, and fibrinolytics. Coagulation monitoring is required when used together.

Warnings: Intra-articular injection must be performed by a specialist. Use with caution in patients prone to bleeding. Prescription only.

Age restrictions: 18+

Pregnancy: Contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.
