Composition: One tablet contains: Active ingredients: citicoline sodium 500 mg, piracetam BP 800 mg. Excipients: maize starch, colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, povidone, purified talc, isopropyl alcohol, magnesium stearate, sodium starch glycolate, sodium lauryl sulphate. Film coating: Super coat film, purified talc, titanium dioxide, isopropyl alcohol, dichloromethane, red iron oxide.

Form: Film-coated tablets

Indications: • Acute and recovery periods of cerebrovascular disorders. • Cognitive impairment due to degenerative (for example, Alzheimer’s disease) and cerebrovascular diseases. • Cerebral insufficiency (for example, dizziness, memory loss, poor concentration, disorientation) due to head injury or traumatic brain injury.

Contraindications: Citicoline is contraindicated in unconscious patients, patients preparing for or having undergone brain surgery, pregnant and breastfeeding women, and in hypersensitivity to the components. Piracetam is contraindicated in severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance below 20 ml/min), cerebral haemorrhage, Huntington’s chorea, and hypersensitivity to piracetam, other pyrrolidone derivatives or the excipients.

Dosage: Citioks P tablets (citicoline and piracetam) should be taken only as directed by a physician, usually 1–3 times daily with a glass of water, with or without food. Dosage depends on the patient’s condition and response to treatment. Swallow whole; do not break, chew or divide before use. In elderly patients, pay attention to impaired renal function. During long-term treatment in older people, assess creatinine clearance regularly. Renal impairment: select the daily dose individually according to renal function; adjust according to creatinine clearance. Hepatic impairment: no dose adjustment is required.

Side effects: Citicoline: rare — hypotension, agitation, insomnia. Piracetam: common — nervousness, hyperkinesia, weight gain; rare — depression, drowsiness, asthenia, dizziness; possible allergic reactions, gastrointestinal issues.

Interactions: Citicoline should not be combined with meclofenoxate. Piracetam: increases risk of bleeding with anticoagulants and antiplatelet agents, may interact with thyroid hormones, slightly affects blood alcohol levels.

Warnings: Use caution if risk of bleeding (piracetam affects platelet aggregation). Contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation. Effects on driving or machinery unknown.
