Pantogam Active Capsules

Composition: D,L-Hopantenic acid

Form: Capsules

Indications: Cognitive impairments due to organic brain damage, cerebrovascular insufficiency, extrapyramidal hyperkinesias (including Huntington's chorea, Parkinson’s disease), epilepsy, reduced performance, neurogenic urinary disorders, schizophrenia (as part of combination therapy).

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity, age under 18, pregnancy, breastfeeding, severe acute kidney disease.

Dosage: Orally, 1–3 capsules 2–3 times a day, 15–20 minutes after meals. Maximum — 8 capsules (2.4 g) per day. Course duration: 1–4 months (sometimes up to 6–12 months). Repeat course — after 3–6 months.

Side effects: Rare: allergy (rhinitis, skin rash), insomnia, headache, nausea. Very rare: drowsiness, dizziness, tinnitus, abdominal pain.

Interactions: Enhances the effect of anticonvulsants and local anesthetics, prolongs the action of barbiturates. Enhances the effect of glycine and etidronic acid. Reduces side effects of neuroleptics and phenobarbital.

Warnings: Not recommended to combine with other nootropics during long-term use. Prescription only.
