Composition: Amoxicillin 500 mg capsule: active ingredient: amoxicillin trihydrate equivalent to amoxicillin 500 mg. Excipients: purified talc, magnesium stearate, hard gelatin capsule (size 0). Lansoprazole 30 mg capsule: active ingredient: enteric-coated lansoprazole pellets equivalent to lansoprazole 30 mg. Excipient: hard gelatin capsule (size 1). The pellets also contain mannitol, sucrose, sodium lauryl sulphate, disodium hydrogen phosphate, calcium carbonate, croscarmellose sodium, povidone K-30, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose phthalate (HPMC phthalate) HP-55, cetyl alcohol, triacetin, titanium dioxide, isopropyl alcohol, acetone, neutral granules. Clarithromycin 500 mg tablet: active ingredient: clarithromycin. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinised starch (10% moisture overage included), lactose, magnesium stearate, sodium starch glycolate (type A), colloidal titanium dioxide, purified water (evaporates during production).
Form: Kit: capsules and tablets
Indications: Eradication of Helicobacter pylori in peptic ulcer disease, duodenal ulcer, and chronic gastritis.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to lansoprazole, clarithromycin or other macrolide antibiotics, amoxicillin, penicillin or other beta-lactam antibiotics (penicillins, carbapenems, cephalosporins or monobactams), or any excipient. Pilotrip Kit should not be used in patients with marked hepatic or renal impairment because clinical data on the efficacy and safety of the lansoprazole, amoxicillin and clarithromycin combination in these patients are currently insufficient.
Dosage: Take 1 capsule of Lansoprazole, 2 capsules of Amoxicillin, and 1 tablet of Clarithromycin — twice daily (morning and evening), 30 minutes before meals. Duration — 7–14 days.
Side effects: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, skin allergic reactions, confusion, vaginitis. Severe allergic reactions possible (anaphylaxis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome).
Interactions: May reduce the effectiveness of oral contraceptives. Amoxicillin enhances the effect of anticoagulants. Clarithromycin interacts with theophylline, statins, benzodiazepines. Lansoprazole is metabolized via CYP3A and CYP2C19.
Warnings: Stop use and consult a doctor if signs of allergy occur. Use with caution when taking other antibiotics. Not recommended for children under 12 years.
